Conducting a rapid evidence synthesis

Develop a Rapid Evidence Assessment to inform policy

Online or in person, dates to suit your schedule

Hands-on training for your team to apply practical guidance and tools

Up to 90 participants

Public policy is chronically under-informed by research in part because of a lack of timely evidence synthesis

This practical workshop gives you the essential methods and tools for conducting evidence synthesis, with a specific focus on developing a Rapid Evidence Assessment (REA). REAs are streamlined versions of systematic reviews, often used to quickly distil a body of research to deliver timely evidence to inform public policy. REAs are also valuable research outputs that are published in academic journals. This session helps research gain this critical capability to enable them to help bridge the research and policy worlds. You’ll learn how to frame actionable research questions, identify and screen relevant evidence, assess quality, and present your findings clearly. With practical examples and hands-on exercises, you’ll leave confident in your ability to synthesize evidence efficiently and to the highest feasible standards.
