Live workshop

Developing a high-scoring REF2029 impact case study

Refine your impact case study to maximize REF scores

Online or in person, dates to suit your schedule

Hands-on training for your team to apply practical guidance and tools

Up to 90 participants

Impact case studies that meet REF requirements often fall short of the highest scores because their evidence, evaluation and impact narratives are not sufficiently robust to demonstrate exceptional reach and significance

Building on the essentials, this practical workshop gives you the skills to design and write impact case studies that meet REF criteria for significance and reach. You will learn how to map impacts to research, select and present evidence convincingly, and avoid common pitfalls that lower scores. Using detailed analysis of high- and low-scoring examples, you will leave with a clear understanding of what assessors look for and how to deliver it. This advanced training course is designed to researchers who already have a (nearly) complete impact case study draft, and who are now working on refining and improving both the way the impact case study is written and the supporting evidence to maximize scores.
